mild steels, brass and plastics to specialist materials such as hastalloy, inconel,
duplex and other superalloys. Our machining capacity and expertise ideally positions
us to manufacture anything from one off items through to large batch production.

Originally Joint Vehicle Development Engineering Ltd, JVD was founded in 1991 in a small workshop in Leeds. We started life producing and fitting retrofit kits for air-assisted power steering used in commercial vehicles. As the firm expanded, the technologies we had developed for power steering became increasingly employed in other fields and this diversification accelerated our growth. The company's initials were adopted as a brand name, and the company moved to a more modern environment and continued its investment in state-of-the-art equipment, thus continuing our expansion. Today finds us as one of the most modern, adaptable and dependable engineering companies in Leeds.
Quality of service is top of our agenda and we already work by internal standards that are the envy of our competitors. Many of the service solutions offered here at JVD Engineering are unique and it is our intention to provide these with the highest level of quality & service available. To do this properly and efficiently it is essential we have a total quality management system in place. The review of our current systems will allow for efficient expansion coupled with a more efficient workplace. We are currently working towards ISO9001:2000 and view this as a natural progression for the company.
